NEW CDC Data on Juvenile Arthritis (JA) Prevalence and Associated Disparities "Arthritis Among Children and Adolescents <18 Years—United States 2017–2021"
The new Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report study from the CDC Arthritis Management and Wellbeing Program found nearly 220,000 children had arthritis during 2017 - 2021, raising awareness of the need for research and programming for children and adolescents with or at risk for arthritis. NEW Awardees for NOFO-23-0001
NOFO-23-0001 supports the dissemination of arthritis-appropriate, evidence-based interventions (AAEBIs) and increasing physical activity through provider assessment, counseling, and referrals. This work will improve health outcomes for adults with arthritis and decrease related disparities. See new awardees below. Component A focuses on capacity and infrastructure building to support statewide AAEBI dissemination. Component B supports expansion and scaling up efforts statewide.
