New Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Measures

PLACES now includes 9 SDOH measures from the American Community Survey!

These newly added measures are poverty, education, unemployment, crowding, housing cost burden, internet access, racial or ethnic minority status, older persons, and single-parent households. These new additions to PLACES allow public health and community planners to identify overlapping health and social factors in their community to inform the allocation of resources and public health planning.
