New CDC Study Finds Arthritis and Severe Joint Pain is Highest Among American Indians/Alaska Natives
May is Arthritis Awareness Month! Check out a recently published article from CDC’s Arthritis Management and Well-Being Program which found that American Indian/Alaska Native adults had the highest age-adjusted prevalence of arthritis and severe joint pain. Osteoarthritis Action Alliance (OAAA) Healthy Diet Handout Managing weight with a healthy diet and physical activity can help improve joint pain and other osteoarthritis (OA) symptoms. This video discusses Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Programs, and their ability to aid in the management of arthritis, as well as other chronic health conditions. Listen to Healthy Living with Arthritis: Tai Chi for Arthritis Episode Listen to a recent episode of Healthy Living with Arthritis! This episode “Tai Chi for Arthritis” focuses on the CDC-recognized arthritis-appropriate, evidence-based intervention by the same name.
