CDC’s Veterans Day Web Feature on Arthritis

November 11 is Veterans Day. More than 1 in 3 veterans (35%) have arthritis. Check out our updated Veterans Day feature, "Arthritis Help for Veterans,” for ways veterans can ease arthritis pain and improve their quality of life with physical activity programs and self-management education workshops.

New CDC Findings: Arthritis Prevalence Is Higher among Caregivers

Arthritis among caregivers may impact their own health and the care they can provide. New CDC data show that arthritis prevalence was more common among caregivers (35.1%) than non-caregivers (24.5%). Among adults with arthritis, nearly half (49.1%) of caregivers have limitations in their daily activities due to arthritis; 2 in 5 (39.9%) have limitations in their work activities due to arthritis. Physical activity and lifestyle management programs for arthritis can help caregivers ease their arthritis pain and improve physical function and quality of life. Read the study to learn more.
