NEW PLACES Data Now Live! Click Here to View the New PLACES Data!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Division of Population Health in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion is excited to announce the newest release of PLACES (available at www.cdc.gov/places). This release includes estimates for 29 chronic disease related indicators at all 4 U.S. geographic levels: Counties, incorporated and census-designated places, census tracts, and ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs). Enhancements for this PLACES release include:  A data dictionary table added to the Data Portal.  New how-to videos added to the Help section. We want to hear from you! Thank you for your continued use and support of PLACES as a tool for effective and efficient public health action. We look forward to hearing how you use these data to promote health, prevent disease, and promote equity, from our nation’s largest cities to our smaller cities and rural areas, and everywhere in between.
