A One Health approach addresses shared health threats at the human-animal-environment intersection, including antibiotic resistance. Antibiotic resistance can affect our progress in health care, food production, and life expectancy, and it’s not only a U.S. problem—it is a global crisis. New forms of resistance emerge and can spread with remarkable speed between continents through people, goods, and animals. | |

Celebrate #OneHealthDay this week and help fight antibiotic resistance: - Join CDC’s One Health office for the next Zoonoses & One Health Updates (ZOHU) webinar this Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2-3 p.m. ET. CDC’s Cary Krug, MPH, will present lessons learned on communicating about antibiotic resistance with companion animal owners and breeders.
