School-Based Recommendations and Resources

Schools play a critical role in the lives of students, faculty, and their families. Students going back to school is a reminder that CPSTF recommends school-based interventions to improve students’ health and safety. CPSTF Recommendations Relevant to Schools CPSTF school-based interventions cover several health topics, including: Physical Activity: Classroom-based Physical Activity Break Interventions Social Determinants of Health: School-Based Health Centers and Healthy School Meals for All Mental Health: Universal School-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Programs to Reduce Depression and Anxiety Symptoms Violence Prevention: School-based Anti-bullying Interventions Asthma: School-Based Self-Management Interventions for Children and Adolescents with Asthma Find more school-based interventions on The Community Guide website.
