COMMUNITY MEMBERS MEETING

Discover how the Newport 60+ Activity Center in Newport, Oregon, is revolutionizing community support for older adults with chronic conditions like arthritis. This innovative center has developed a hybrid delivery system that combines virtual and in-person programming to ensure equitable access and engagement for all participants.

Participants in Walk With Ease, one of the center’s most popular arthritis interventions, use cameras, monitors, and user-friendly electronic devices to promote inclusion, reduce isolation, foster new friendships, and improve physical and mental well-being across the community. Newport has expanded this approach to other programs and will continue to use this model to increase equity, connectivity, and community among older adults in the community.
