Instead of opening access, commercial AI firms are exploiting collective knowledge for profit, hoarding the benefits, and concentrating power. This puts the commons at risk. We're building a solution. With CC signals, we're creating a clear way for content platforms to indicate how they wish for their content to be used in the development of AI models.
