Join us Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. EST for CDC’s next AMR Exchange, It’s Time for Action: Working Together to Achieve the Targets of the 2024 UNGA High-level Meeting on AMR Political Declaration. Antimicrobial resistance is an urgent global public health threat, killing more than 1 million people worldwide each year. In late September, global leaders met in New York City for the second United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-level Meeting (HLM) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The political declaration from the HLM identifies specific commitments and targets for all countries and AMR stakeholders. Join us to hear from CDC and a panel of experts to learn more about actionable commitments and targets from the UNGA HLM political declaration, what governmental and non-governmental partners are doing to turn political commitment into public health action, and approaches to strengthen One Health collaboration across the globe. Taking part in the conversation are experts whose work in the United States and around the world is helping transform how we combat antimicrobial resistance threats.
