2022 Release of Chronic Disease Indicators

	Chronic disease indicators (CDI) provides state-level estimates of chronic disease measures that complement local PLACES estimates. CDI includes measures across 18 topic areas, with 124 indicators and over 200 measures.

May Health Observances

Arthritis Awareness  Month Estimates of the prevalence of arthritis can be found in the PLACES Interactive Map and Data Portal. CDC and its partners encourage you to learn more about its recognized interventions for arthritis and other chronic diseases.	Mental Health  Awareness Month Two recently added estimates of the prevalence of depression and mental health not good for >14 days can be found in the PLACES Interactive Map and Data Portal. PLACES in Practice  City Health Dashboard provides city- and census tract-level data on more than 40 measures of health outcomes, determinants, and equity. It covers over 750 cities across the United States. Recently, a COVID Local Risk Index was added that uses PLACES data along with other data to estimate the risk of COVID-19 transmission and severe infection in a city or neighborhood.
