You can also visit our newest website featuring the Global AR Lab & Response Network, a new program that builds on the successful domestic AR Lab Network. Antibiotic resistance will not stop. More than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the United States each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. Across the world, at least 1.27 million people died from antibiotic resistance in 2019. If antibiotics lose their effectiveness, then we lose the ability to treat infections and control these public health threats. We must meet this challenge with ongoing action and vigilance—we look forward to continuing this work with you. |
