These partners work alongside CDC to slow the spread of antibiotic resistance and implement innovative solutions to protect people from antibiotic resistance. |

Highlights of this year’s AR Investment Map release include:
CDC is also announcing details on new innovation funding to partners across three CDC programs working in health care, where antibiotic-resistant pathogens can spread rapidly without proper prevention measures. In Fiscal Year 2021, CDC awarded more than $36 million for innovative AR research to diverse partners, including healthcare partners in the following networks and programs:
CDC leads the U.S. public health response to combat antibiotic resistance, a threat that continues to emerge and spread across the world. CDC’s Antibiotic Resistance (AR) Solutions Initiative invests in national infrastructure to detect, respond, contain, and prevent resistant infections across healthcare settings, communities, the food supply, and the environment.
