New Funding Opportunity:
STI Impact Research Consortium

 Request for proposals now open

CDC recently announced a five-year funding opportunity for partners—in academic, research, public health, and others—to conduct studies to reverse persistent, troubling trends in reported cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) aimed at increasing population-focused impact.

The deadline to submit proposals is June 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. ET. Read the Request for Proposal to apply.

STIs—including gonorrhea, which has progressively developed resistance to the drugs used to treat it—continue to threaten the health of too many in the United States. Innovative solutions will help strengthen public health’s ongoing response, and ultimately, result in healthier people and communities.

A pre-proposal conference will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET. Registration is required. To register send an email to qfx6@cdc.gov with the following information:

  • Subject Line for Registration: STIIRC Pre-Proposal Conference Registration Request
  • Your email message must include the following: Company name, Name of the two (2) persons attending the conference, Job title
